Loxton - East Terrace Public Amenities

The project brief outlined the need for a unique modern facility to be both aesthetically appealing whilst simple in form and function.

The skillion roof provides a sense of grandeur as it soars upward amongst the surrounding treetops. The prominent curved facade creates a strong physical link from either side of the road's median. The proposed building scale and materials are in keeping with the local streetscape whilst providing a point of difference and a ‘Wow Factor’ in the main street of Loxton.

The facility's conveniences include an ambulant toilet with grab rails, white ceramic toilet suites & automatic sensor flushable urinals for ease of use in a sanitised environment. Inset basins with automatic sensor timer taps, large mirrors, automatic soap dispensers and automatic hand dryers are also provided along with a continuous vanity benchtop offering ample space for handbags/coat hooks, all positioned close by for easy access.

Separate unisex family toilets each include an accessible toilet suite, accessible hand basin, junior toilet suite, fold-down baby change table, fold-down seat, hooks for handbags/ shopping bags etc. & an automatic opening push button sliding door providing ease of mobility for access & egress.

External bench seats located at either end of the facility allow the occupants an opportunity to sit and connect with the surrounding environment.
