Loxton Precinct - Mezzanine Function Room Fit-out

Function Room Fit-out

The project brief outlined the need for a Modern Contemporary design to be both appealing and attractive whilst simple in its form and function.

The Function Room accommodates up to 300 patrons, with the space being adaptable for multiple uses such as private functions, gala events, community presentations, seminars and the like.

The design proposal included large open floor space, dance floor/kids zone, new bar, commercial kitchen with accompanying coolroom, freezer, drystore and a storeroom.

Features of the design include a lower central feature ceiling showcasing a matrix of perforated plywood panels against a black backdrop, accentuating the warmth of the natural timber. The implementation of a charcoal coloured Luxalon Linear panel ceiling offers a highly efficient acoustic product with continuity, contrast and visual appeal. For added acoustic attenuation the carpet tiles occupy the large open floor space, creating a soft and comfortable ambience complementary to the non-slip coated/ polished concrete floor of the Bar & Food service areas and hardwood timber dancefloor/kids zone.

Additional design features include multiple large-scale video and projector screens allowing the user to broadcast live television, video presentations, sponsorship displays, advertising & promotional material for sporting groups, local business and community events. Recessed linear strip lighting, slimline air-conditioning slot diffusers, smart audio speakers, discrete security cameras linked to CCTV footage, and automated roller blinds allow the user the ability to customize the room suitable for their use.
